Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Vocab Swiper account (published by StrateLabs) and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete it in the app

Deletion is immediate and you do not need to contact us.

Open Vocab Swiper.
Tap the Profile tab.
Tap Account.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm when asked. Your account and its data are deleted straight away.

Deletion goes to our servers first. If we cannot reach them, nothing is deleted and the app tells you so, rather than wiping your device and leaving your data on the account.

Or ask us to delete it

Email support@vocabswiper.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

Your account and your email address
Your learning progress: the words you have met, saved and mastered, your review schedule, streaks and XP
Decks you created, and your settings
Everything synced to our servers, and everything held on your device

What is kept, and for how long

Purchase records. If you subscribed, the record of the transaction is kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 6–7 years). We never hold your card details — those stay with Google Play or Apple.
Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.
Anonymous diagnostics. Technical logs that are not linked to you or your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from. Cancel in the Google Play Store app → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, or on iOS in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Using the app without an account

You can use Vocab Swiper without ever giving us an email address. If you have never signed in, there is no account to delete — uninstalling the app removes everything held on your device.
